ABOUT CHARLES

Commandingcalming and cool are just a few of the words that have been used to describe Charles’ voice. But this was not always the case. As a child, he battled with stuttering which he fought desperately to overcome. But if that was not challenging enough, his voice was so high pitched that he was often mistaken for his mother whenever he would answer the telephone. But that was then, and this is now. Charles’ voice has experienced such a dramatic transformation from the high pitched voice of his youth, to one with such rich resonant tones it has allowed him to play the voice of God in a contemporary stage production of the biblical character Jonah. Now that’s what I call a transformation.

Since conquering these speech challenges Charles has had a 35 year career as a broadcaster, public speaker, writer, pastor and college professor. All careers where his voice is used as a powerful vehicle to get his message across.

Recent clients include: The Congressional Black Caucus, WGTS 91.9 FM, Grace Connection International, Adventist Newsline, Dynamic Living and The North American Division Ministerial of SDA.

“I CAN BREATHE … for now!'“

The message of this shirt reminds us that while there are those who have had their God-given breath taken away simply because of the color of their skin, those of us who CAN breathe, should use our breath not to make excuses but to make a difference. Proceeds from the sale of this shirt will help to provide laptops for worthy students who are being forced to take part in at-home online instruction due to COVID – 19.
